Endemic species are species whose habitat is limited to one country. Due to their limited distribution, these species are considered exclusive elements and have high conservation value, which is actually one of the main focuses of biodiversity conservation. The blind cave fish, with the scientific name Iranocypris typhlops, is an endemic and endangered species of Iran, whose distribution range is limited to the blind cave fish in Lorestan Province, Khorramabad County. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources' Red List, this species is in a vulnerable status. Despite its uniqueness, the habitat of this species faces many human and natural threats, and the destruction of this habitat would mean the destruction of this unique Iranian species. Therefore, further understanding of this species is essential and necessary to prevent its extinction. Given the importance of protecting this species, educating local communities and engaging them in conservation programs will play a significant role in the survival of this species. This research aims to investigate the conservation and ecological status of this species, as well as its threats, and to provide conservation strategies to prevent its extinction, using documentary methods and a review of library resources.
