The book “Animals Erased: Discourse, Ecology, and Reconnection with the Natural World”, by the British linguist and ecologist Arran Stibbe, is a collection of the author’s essays written over a period of ten years. The book was published in 2012 by the Wesleyan University Press. In general, the subject of the book and the topics discussed in its various chapters can be regarded as subfields of critical discourse analysis and the interdisciplinary field of ecolinguistics, which analyze how the natural world, and animals in particular, are represented in a wide range of general and specialized discourses. The book consists of ten chapters and a total of 214 pages. The present article will briefly look at the content of the book.
