Abstract

Optimal use of renewable energy Considering the special architecture, using recyclable materials and reducing the consumption of fossil fuels, is one of the consequences of creating this pattern of development, which is a step towards sustainable development of rural settlements. The result of this attitude is the change of economic and social structure, villages and villagers, the provision of urban services to compensate for the underdevelopment of the village, and finally sustainable tourism in these areas, the difference between the village environment and other projects in this area. In this article, while examining the goals and importance of rural development, defining the criteria of the rural ecosystem model, introducing examples and goals of ecovillage development around the world, and analyzing the opportunities resulting from the design of this social unit. In this article, while introducing environmental villages, their capacities and role in sustainable rural development are discussed, and its positive aspects in saving the biosphere are examined.
